Creating a Clutter-Free Coffee Bar

Welcome back to my reVolution, friends. On to the next space : the coffee bar.

The Real Morning Struggle

Part of my typical morning routine is a cup of coffee. Something about it just kicks my day off well, and I can usually feel a shift if I miss it. When that happens, it’s usually because I’m rushed or didn’t wake up on time.

Over time, my coffee area had gotten completely out of control. The space was cluttered, and the cabinet where I stored coffee supplies had slowly become a catch-all for vitamins, protein supplements, and general chaos.

It was time to simplify.

Why This Space Matters

I’m learning that peace is often something we have to build, not just pray for and wait to receive. That has been a hard lesson for me — but a true one.

We can create environments that support peace by making it easier to keep the promises we make to ourselves. Even something as small as opening a cabinet and being met with clutter while grabbing a coffee mug can create tiny moments of friction. Those moments may seem insignificant, but they add up over time.

Our environment truly does impact our mental health, focus, and overall well-being.

The Reset

Confession time: I had to actively fight the urge to go out and buy all new items — which would have completely defeated my goal of simplifying and romanticizing my life this year.

I started scrolling Pinterest and watching reset Reels and quickly felt comparison creeping in. Thankfully, I caught myself and redirected. Instead of striving for perfection, I committed to starting with what I already had.

I cleared the space completely and organized everything into categories. I emptied both the cabinet above and the drawer underneath and decided this area would be used for coffee and tea only (eventually I’ll add hot chocolate for my daughter).

I tossed expired items, let go of things I never used, and focused on one simple goal:
to make this space easy to maintain, with everything having a clear home.

The Aftermath

It’s been almost two weeks since the reset, and mornings truly feel calmer. The space feels more organized, and I’m so glad I started in the kitchen — especially since I work from home, homeschool, and spend so much of my day here.

Reducing the clutter has helped minimize decision fatigue, and I feel more intentional as I start my mornings. And if I’m being honest — I feel proud.

Products I Used (Mostly What I Already Had)

If you’re curious, here are a few items I incorporated — most of which I already owned.

  • My canisters were a gift from Kirkland’s, and most of my décor comes from Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, or TJ Maxx.
  • I did purchase a new coffee maker because I wanted the option of both a carafe and a single cup. I chose the Keurig Duo, which has been perfect. I can set a pot to brew in the morning or grab a K-Cup when time is tight.

  • I have been using this electric kettle and it is a game changer! It heats up quickly and is perfect for tea mornings or recipes that need hot water.

  • I’ve used these rechargeable under-cabinet lights for over two years, and they still work great.

  • Flameless candles are one of my favorite ways to create ambiance. I have them throughout the house, and the timers make evenings feel calm and intentional.

In Conclusion:

For me, this coffee bar reset wasn’t just about coffee — it was about creating peace and space for small, repeatable moments that help start the day on the right foot. I would love to see your own spaces as well, feel free to post pictures in the comments or leave tips and tricks for staying organized!

Next up: the pantry, because simplifying choices brings peace too.
See you next week!!
